Day 1 Families Fund 2024

We’re pleased to share that Welcome House, Inc. has received a $1.25 million dollar award from the Bezos Day 1 Families Fund! We’re one of 40 organizations across the country selected this year by an independent advisory group of family homelessness experts for our leadership in helping families experiencing homelessness in Kentucky find stability and achieve wellbeing. This grant is a game-changing investment that empowers us to push boundaries in how homelessness is addressed, particularly in Kentucky’s underserved areas. With this support, we’ll have the resources to develop strategic, sustainable solutions that turn the possibility of ending homelessness for Kentucky families into a reality.

We plan to use this incredible contribution to expand our outreach, enhance housing assistance and address barriers that prevent rural families from securing stable homes. We’re thankful for the Day 1 Families Fund’s support as we work to ensure that every family in our community has a safe, stable place to call home.
