COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) – A nonprofit that works to find housing for people in need in Northern Kentucky received a generous donation to help with its mission.
Welcome House received a $25,000 in-kind donation from Amazon.
The donation was delivered Tuesday and included boxes of personal care products, cold weather items, housing items and other household necessities.
“We’re trying to transition those we serve into stable housing. Sometimes, we’re putting people into homes that have nothing,” said Kelly Rose, VP marketing and development for Welcome House. “So, really a gift like this helps us turn houses into homes for those we serve.’
Last year, Welcome House served more than 3,000 people, 462 of them were children.
