The Emergency Assistance program provides basic necessities such as food, paper products and personal care items to people in emergency situations or to supplement low-income households who are at-risk of homelessness and/or hunger. Other services include: assessment, referrals to Welcome House programs and to community resources.
Total served in 2008: (Food and hygiene items): 6,845 adults and children. (3,027 households) 40% were under age 18.

- Approximately 3,065 bags of groceries were distributed
- Donated food distributed value - $45,723; in addition to purchases of $20,000 (Kenton County Fiscal Court).
- Average monthly income per household was $750. The program experienced families from higher incomes seeking assistance.
- 49 households were assisted with rent/utilities totaling $14,338 to prevent homelessness. These funds provided by No. KY Apartment Association, St. Pius and St. John’s churches.
