The 19th Annual Mardi Gras for Homeless Children was the event of the year raising thousands of dollars in proceeds to feed homeless children in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati. The event, produced by the Northern Kentucky Restaurant Association in conjunction with the Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Association, was held on Fat Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Northern Kentucky Convention Center. Platinum sponsors for the evening included Aimbridge Hospitality, Commonwealth Hotels, Duke Energy, and Kroger.
The evening featured over 50 local restaurants and purveyors who donated a wide variety of foods and beverages. Dixieland jazz, strolling entertainers, a royal parade, silent and live auctions and so much more were part of the evening’s celebration.
This evening is the premier Mardi Gras party in the region, with proceeds going to feed hundreds of Children in the Greater Cincinnati area. Last year Welcome House used funds to help feed over 3,000 children through our Emergency Assistance Pantry and Emergency Shelter.
