The IT Specialist is a full-time administrative position responsible for the evaluation, implementation and overall functional management of the technology infrastructure utilized at Welcome House. This includes servers, networks, software, hardware, security and backups/contingency planning. Collaborating with the Leadership Team, this position will work to improve the technology landscape at Welcome House, generating improved performance for its technology users while utilizing the most cost efficient solutions. This position performs duties in accordance with Welcome House Core Values, including: Ethical, Collaborative, Client-Centered, Accountable, Professional, and Passionate.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Technology
•Serves as a subject matter expert to trouble shoot internal technology or system issues; maintains hardware and software requirements for each position.
•Provides technology orientation to new hires.
•Provides on going staff support by monitoring and evaluating the internal functions of hardware, software, analysis of IT workings.
•Administer Welcome House servers (local and virtual) and networks including the phone system utilized at each office.
•Administer User Account set-up, changes and access to network resources.
•Serves as a liaison with 3rd party technology vendors, escalating technical issues to external support as appropriate to address issues in a timely manner and decrease downtime.

2. IT Business Analyst
•Evaluate, test and recommend new opportunities for enhancing our software, hardware and IT processes.
•Consult with the Leadership Team on the newest technology and its implications in the industry.
•Develop customized technology solutions for program services to increase efficiency and enable process improvement.
•Enact and maintain appropriate cyber security systems to protect information and adhere to HIPAA compliance standards where appropriate.
•Provide backup infrastructure to support business needs for contingency situations.
•Lead and participate in project teams when technology is a component of the project and plan.

3.Data Infrastructure Development & Management
•Create and maintain data collection tools enabling effective reporting capabilities.
•Develop company databases to capture and warehouse metadata for various parts of the organization as required.
•Administer appropriate software to enable execution of data planning and reporting.
•Maintain metadata quality and integrity through testing and validation.

4. Data Reporting.
•Prepare recommendations to business partners, customers and leadership that may include interpretation of data, and presentation of analysis and research.
•Develop metrics, measures, reports, tools, and surveys for monitoring business performance.

5. Other duties as specified by the Director of Operations & Leadership Team

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
•Bachelors or equivalent

Experience:
•3-5 related work experience
•6 and above overall professional experience

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working Hours/Environment
•Work typically performed in an indoor, 3-floor office building

Tools and Equipment Used
•Personal computer, copier, fax/scanner, phone, terminal server environment, phone/voice mail systems, and other typical office equipment

Travel
•Minimal-less than 15% of the time

Physical and Mental Demands
•Frequently required to sit at a desk/workstation for long period of time
•Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time
•Support all Welcome House physical locations
•Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
•Ability to speak to and hear employees/clients via phone or in person
•Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move between 3 floors
•Additional Mental Requirements: compare, decide, direct, problem solve, analyze, instruct, interpret
•Minimal lifting up to and above 50 pounds: computer equipment
